Beta Reader Feedback

As you can see it has been about eight months since I last posted. After the beta reader feedback, I quickly discovered that they were, in fact, more like alpha readers. Oops! I am currently editing chapters 26 and 27, and there has been at least ten new chapters added along with major scene revisions. (That’s what happens when you add a whole point of view character!) I am fairly satisfied with the progress, but with my slow pace of editing, I will unlikely have the book ready by the end of the year for readers.

That being said, my new goal is to have a solid draft ready for my editor early next year. I think this is a good reminder that this is, in fact, my first book intended for publishing. I am learning a lot of new things about the writing process, and it will result in a much better reading experience in the end! (Blank rooms be gone!) I must add a big thank you to my alpha (beta) readers for the patience and insight.

I meant to update this blog sooner with the new title, but here is (likely) the final title: Beyond the Wall of Glass. (Thanks to a beta reader for that suggestion!) Collision no longer fits the concept since it changed so much, but the concepts are still there. In the meantime, I have also been writing some side stories and testing new storytelling methods through those. Some of those characters may end up in future books. There are a lot of future books. That is for future me to deal with.

I look forward to sharing Elise and Solis with you all after the drudgery that is editing. In the meantime, here is a link to the book list that I have finally updated with new titles. Maybe some new characters. I’m writing this blog post before I do it, so we will see!

Until the Stars Fall,

Vivian Hale
